Capturing a Moment

Updated: Sep 18, 2022

There is nothing like fully capturing a moment. Sometimes a picture isn't enough, and we gravitate towards videos. Sometimes the video is too much. So, what is the best way to capture the moment. We each have our own views. For me, one of the last impactful memories I had with my mom was Thanksgiving. That Thanksgiving I had a notebook out. I asked my extended family and family to write down what they were thankful for. Of course, I received the eye rolls and the here she goes again but considering it was the last Thanksgiving spent with my mom, it means so much more. At the end of the day, I took a family photo. Again, the last family photo taken before my mom was taken by cancer. With this, I created a reminder of the thanks we have as a family. I created a holiday portrait of thanks and now a tribute to my mom. It has become a sentimental keepsake I can put out every Thanksgiving. It truly doesn't take much to capture a moment. Life is precious. Don't let it pass you by. All you need is a photo and the words of your loved ones, and you have something that will last a lifetime.
